Century Hall Update

Posted on Posted in News

Hello Cranston Residents,
We’re aware of the Government of Alberta’s new guidelines and restrictions put into place as of November 24th 2020. The health and safety of the public and our employees is our main priority and we will continue to provide as many opportunities to enjoy the amenities as possible. We will continue to be guided by the province’s public health officials in taking actions to protect our residents and visitors from COVID-19.

At this time, the key changes based off of the most recent restrictions are as follows:

  • Bookings can no longer be made in-person or over the phone. All Bookings must be made online no more than 24 hours in advance.
  • Registrants will only be permitted entrance at the time of your booking.
  • Guests and non-residents are not permitted until further notice.
  • Bookings will be one hour in length.
  • We are excited to announce the Pleasure Rink is Now Open, with a maximum capacity of 10.
  • Bookings must be made for both the Hockey Rink and Pleasure Rink.
  • If a resident books for more than one time slot per day, they will be automatically deleted for all other bookings after their first registered time.
  • Registrants must remain on the rink they are booked for (hockey versus pleasure rink).
  • Registrants will not be permitted entry if they register for Kids Hockey, and they are not 11 years & under, or an adult accompanying their child.
  • There will be no scrimmages or game play on either rink at any time.
  • The Century Hall Indoor Facility will remain close, with the exception of Washroom Use Only. Masks are required when using the Century Hall Washroom.
  • Please remember to complete your Cranston COVID-19 Health Assessment Form found at https://cranstonra.ca/rinkscreening/. Please show us a screenshot of the completed form as you enter Century Hall.
  • If you do not have an online account, please call us at (403) 781-6614 to create one. Please do not create your own online account. If you add members to your account, please contact us to have them attached to your membership.

Remaining diligent with physical distancing requirements and keeping 2 meters from others is critical, along with following and respecting the regulations the Cranston Residents Association has put in place. Staff reserve the right to stop park entry at any time if they feel distancing requirements are unable to be followed on any of our amenities. To inquire about current entry status, please call Century Hall at (403) 781- 6614.

Our aim is to create a safe environment for everyone and remain open through the winter season. Because of this we will have staff observing and providing physical distancing reminders as needed. We will continue to adjust these policies as new information and guidance becomes available. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Let’s all continue to work together to keep people in Cranston safe, both in our park and outside of it! We are looking forward to seeing you this season!
If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] or (403) 781-6614.
