The Calgary Stampede may be cancelled this year, but the Cranston Residents Association is still saddling-up and spreading the Cranston Stampede Spirit with three Wild-West Contests!

The Cranston RA Online Stampede includes all the best parts of the Calgary Stampede that Alberta knows and loves! Whether you enjoy dancing, eating, or seeing animals, we have you covered!

Dress-Up Your Pet Contest 

Giddy up and Grab a Cowboy or Cowgirl outfit, for your favorite animal in your life! Share a picture of your pet wearing rodeo attire to be entered to win one of three prizes for your pet from Pet Planet in Cranston! There will be a prize basket for best dressed dog, and best dressed cat. The third prize is a 50.00 Gift Card to Pet Planet for all the other best dressed pets in Cranston! Line Dancing Contest

Pancake Eating Contest  

Grab your syrup and forks because we want to know who the Cranston Ultimate Pancake Eating Champion is. Visit Century Hall to pick up your FREE Pancake mix to take part in this stompin’ good time. Please contact [email protected] to book a time to pick up your mix. The Ultimate Pancake Eating Champions will receive one of two 100.00 Gift Cards to Berwick Pub House in Cranston. We want to send you to the pub that Cranston calls home. All ages are encouraged to play however, you must be 18+ to claim the prize. 

Residents who wish to participate can contact [email protected] to organize a time to pick up their pancake mix. Participants will pre-cook their pancakes at home and record themselves for two  minutes eating as many pancakes as they can. All pancakes must be made of 1/4 cup of batter. The two participants who eat the most pancakes within 2 minutes will be the winner. By taking part in this contest, you will take full responsibility in any and all risk such as choking, or any injury.
